"Hand in hand we learn"
Welcome to Franklin Phonetic School!

Addendum to the 2008/2009 Student Handbook: Our School is a closed campus. Between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:30 pm, children will not be allowed to leave campus unless they are under your supervision or someone designated by you, either by phone or in writing. Children will not be allowed to walk home unless a parent permission form is signed and on file.
Also concerning cell phones at school... if your child brings a cell phone to school they must turn it into the office! They may pick it up at the end of the day. If your child is caught with a phone it will be confiscated and held until their parent comes to pick it up. Ipods, MP3, or electronic games are not allowed at school! If these electronic devices are found they will be confiscated! Any property that is not specifically requested in the handbook should be left at home!

NCLB Parents Right to Know

Under the Federal No Child Left Behind(NCLB) Act of 2001, Title 1 Schools are required to provide parent notification when a teacher does not meet the requirements of a highly qualified professional as outlined in NCLB legislation. While Franklin has never had to report employment of a non-highly qualified teacher, we do make information available to all parents concerning teacher qualifications. If, at any time, you wish to review the professional qualifications of any of our teachers or staff members, please visit the Jr. High office. We will be glad to direct you to the folder containing all of this information.
